Ride To Eat data for your GPS and Mapping software
The RTE list is available in several formats for your convenience. Site data was last updated 7-Mar-2010.
| These files are provided free for the private, non-commercial use of anyone who would like them. While the data such as restaurant names and addresses is public information, all rights to original content from RideToEat.com (ratings, comments, files, artwork) are reserved and that content may not be published elsewhere without my explicit written permission. |
These formats are always kept current with the latest version of the data on the website:
- KML (useful for many mapping tools, such as Google Earth). Also available state-by-state right here on our map page.
- Tab separated values
- S&TImport – another Tab separated value file, optimized for the Streets and Trips data import wizard.
These formats are updated frequently:
- POI (Points of Interest) file in both CSV and GPX formats. [updated 3/7/2010] While you’re there, you may want to poke around – poi-factory.com is a GREAT site for POI data, especially for Red Light Camera and Speed Camera data.
- POIFriend.com, another POI (Points of Interest) source. [updated 3/7/2010] Lots of other custom POI lists there.
- Excel Spreadsheet [updated 1/28/2010]
- Streets & Trips v2007 [updated 2/12/2010]
- Streets & Trips v2010 [updated 2/12/2010]
RideToEat.com data is also included in a Streets and Trips v2010 “mega” POI File at LaptopGPSWorld.com file maintained by THE Microsoft Streets & Trips team (how cool is that?). I have no control over how often that is updated, but I expect it to be roughly once a month.
