Relatively current. Our RideToEat.com POI files are updated frequently on poi-factory.com. While you’re there, you may want to poke around – POI Factory is a GREAT site for POI data, especially for Red Light Camera and Speed Camera data. :

Current? Not so much – These formats are rarely updated. I am happy to freshen one up by request if you need it. Just drop me a note:

RideToEat.com data is also included in a Streets and Trips “mega” POI File at LaptopGPSWorld.com file maintained by THE Microsoft Streets & Trips team (how cool is that?). They update it monthly, usually the first week of the month.

"Roads exist for me . . . mainly to furnish reasonably direct connections between cafes and chili parlors, taco wagons and beaneries, eat shacks and confectioneries, burger joints and frozen-custard stands, barbecue sheds and fish camps. In other words, roads are there to tie one reason for living to another."
